Enrolling with the Rock can be done simply by auto-enrolling with a Rock that is operating in 1FA mode or with a Rock dedicated as an enrollment station.
Auto-enrollment is a process where the user is enrolling with the Rock and over time, the user does not require a badge to enter. In 1FA mode, auto-enrollment occurs with 4 badge-ins separated by 5 minutes in between. The user will realize that after 4 times using a badge, as he or she approaches the Rock, authentication would have occurred, the ACS would receive the credentials and the door would be unlocked before the user has attempted to badge in. The user would notice that the LED ring on the Rock has flashed blue and then green.
An enrollment station provides organizations flexibility. At enrollment stations, users are guided through a series of actions and enrolled instantly. Organizations opt for this option at doors where there are no tethered readers and for high security areas where both face and badge are required for access.
